Incase you're wondering where the random post below this came from I only discovered last night that I can blog from my mobile so thought I would try it out.

Look out for many more blog posts since this function is great.

My leg

Just realised how weird my leg looked it this angle. Did say I'd maybe show more of me one day. How long will it take to piece together the pieces at this rate though, lol.

FLOPPY BABY SUN HAT

Well here we have another make of mine. I was fed up searching for a pattern for this sort of hat that was what I wanted, I decided to design my own. Thought I would share my 2nd pattern with you all.

Hat

Hook size and yarn can be adjusted to suit - I used 3ply Peter Pan and a G hook.

Chain 4, join with sl st.

Chain 3(1st dc), 11dc in ring, join with sl st.

Ch3, dc in same stitch, 2dc in each dc to end, join with sl st.

Ch3, dc in same stitch, *dc, 2dc*, repeat from * to * to end, join with sl st.

Ch3, dc in same stitch, *dc, dc, 2dc*, repeat from *to * to end, join with sl st.

Ch 3, dc in same stitch, *dc, dc, dc, 2dc*, repeat from * to * to end, joinh with slst.

Ch 2, "hdc" around, join with sl st.

Ch 1, sc in sp, *ch2, sk hdc, sc in next hdc*, repeat from * to * to end, join with sl st.

Repeat row 7.

Ch1, sc in ch2 sp, *ch2, skip sc, sc in ch sp*, repeat to end, join with sl st.

Repeat row 9.

*ch2, sc in ch2 sp*, repeat to end, join with sl st.

*hdc in sc, hdc in ch2 sp*, repeat to end, join with sl st.

Ch1, sc in each hdc, join with sl st.

*ch3, sc in next ch sp, ch3, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch3 sp*, repeat to end - when end is reached continue in pattern until desired band width is achieved then join with sl st.

Ch1, sc in sp, *6dc in next sp, sc in next sp*, repeat to end, join with sl st.

Finish and weave in ends.

Flower

Ch5, join with sl st to 1st ch to make ring.

Ch3, dc 15 times into cirle, join with sl st (16 dc).

In bl only, *ch6, sk1 dc, sl st in next dc*, repeat 4 times, join with sl st.

In fl only, *sc in dc, 6 dc in next sl st* repeat 4 times, join with sl st.

Use loose ends to attach as desired to brim.

I hope everyone likes this one as well.

Diagonal shell belt/ hair wrap

Well here goes for another first. I made this up whilst I couldn't sleep last night and decided to share the pattern with you all. This has held my hair out of my face all day and provided DD2 with something to amuse.

Chain 201 ( chain must be a multiple of 4+1 to work)

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end, ch4, turn.

Row 2: skip 3sc, sc in next sc, *ch4 skip 3sc, sc in next sc*. Repeat from * to * to end, ch4, turn.

Row 3: *2tr through next ch4, ch1 (yo hook, insert hook into sp at right of 2nd tr from hook, complete a dc) 4 times*. Repeat from * to * to end, ch4, turn.

Row 4: skip 3dc, sc in next dc, *ch4, skip 3dc in next block/shell, sc in 4th dc*. Repeat from * to * to end, ch4, turn.

Row 5: dc in ch4 st, *3dc in chain sp, dc in next dc* repeat to end.

Finish and weave in ends.

Abbr:

sc - single crochet

ch - chain

tr - treble

yo - yarn over

sp - space

dc - double crochet

5mm hook size, dk 100% acrylic yarn

This is a really easy pattern to complete and really multi functional. The hook size and yarn weight could be adjusted up or down to slightly adjust the effect and item weight. The overall item length is easily adjusted as long as the starting chain is always a multiple of 4 + 1.

I hope you like this pattern, please leave a comment and let me know if you make it.

Too tired so will come back and try again tomorrow.

Look what I did!!

Really pleased, I started this last night and finished it this morning. I had to adjust the pattern slightly to compensate for hook and finished garment size and it wasn't quite how I wanted it so dolly got a new cardi.

A few of my recent projects as promised.

I'm currently working on a bag for one of the kids and have eventually gotten into the joys of ravelry.

Another day, another project!!!!

Well another day of blogging and decided to do something new.

I was knitting a tea cosy vent hat for a local charity and it asked me to chain 100 crochet chains, to my horror I realised I could do a basic chain - once I remembered how to start it, lol. The basic chain and turning back I realised was the extent of my ability so after an afternoon of experimenting I'm making a blanket, of sorts.

Another string added to my bow but for heaven's sake don't ask me to follow a pattern.

The scary first!!!

This is my first post to my new blog, quite a scary concept, lol.

Over the next fews days I'll hopefully get some pics and things on and some info about little old me.

The only project I have running at the moment is a clown shelf sitter for my youngest(10 weeks old).

Not getting a lot done now - 4 children fill a lot of my time but I'm slowly finding space for me again.
